android mobile applications | How To Install Java Games on Samsung Galaxy Y Tutorial

android mobile applications

A lot of people probably have always wanted to be able to play again their good old Java games that they used to play on their past phones. On my LG KP500 I used to play lots of touchscreen games which don’t seem to be available for Android today. And as you all know, Android OS can’t just open a jar file when you tap on it. So in this guide we will make our Samsung Galaxy Y play Java games.

 How to install?

1. Download the necessary zip files to your SD Card (not in any folder).

2. Switch your phone off & boot in recovery mode.

3. Select apply update from sdcard.

4. Select CWM.zip and your phone will boot in ClockworkMod Recovery.

5. Select install zip from sdcard.

6. Select choose zip from sdcard.

7. Select JBed.zip which you have downloaded in your SD Card.

8. Select Comfirm-Install Java

9. Flashing will start and may last upto 10 minutes.

10. When you see message Install from sdcard complete, select reboot system now.

11. Your phone will restart.

Java is successfully installed!

Uninstalling Java?

Download & install any Root Uninstaller free version from Play Store & uninstall it!

There should be an application “Java” open that application whenever you want to play a java game or use an java app.

Note: You can’t play Potrait games as per as Galaxy Y’s screen resolution so only try to install Landscape java games and apps.

Download Links:

Jbed.zip (2.27 MB)

CWM.zip (1.34 MB)

This is only for Samsung Gingerbread 2.3.6 devices and I’m not responsible for any damage so try it at your own risk!

VLC Media Player Logo Picture Because of this exceptional quality many Windows users prefer it over the Windows Media player. VLC which has made its way into iPhones and iPads will soon be available in the Android market.

Development Of Android Version Of VLC
According to Jean Kempf, lead developer of VLC, it is simply a matter of weeks before VLC player’s application for Android is released. It is expected that Android version of VLC will go live in early 2011 and when launched, Android will become the second mobile OS to be supported by VLC.

VLC team had been working for quite some time now on the port of VLC but faced difficulties as Android’s multimedia output was based on Java. But with Google launching Native Development Kit, the process had become much easier. However, fragmentation which has been a problem for Android platform might delay the release of the VLC version for Android.

DatenDialog Big Tent goes to Berlin

In May, we held our first Big Tent conference near London, where we debated some of the hot issues relating to the Internet and society with policy-makers, academics and NGOs. The term "big tent” not only described the marquee venue but also our aim to include diverse points of view.

After the U.K. success, we decided to export the concept. Yesterday we welcomed more than 200 guests in Berlin, Germany to the second Big Tent event, entitled DatenDialog.

This dialogue about data tackled the issue of online privacy from a variety of angles. It was appropriate to hold it in Germany, which is a pacesetter both in its concern about privacy and its ideas for safeguarding personal data. During the one-day event, we debated questions such as: what does responsible collaboration between the tech industry and the data protection authorities look like? Do we need new regulation to manage the Internet and the large amount of data produced in the online world? Who is responsible for educating users and how does the tech industry make sure it builds privacy controls into its products?

Speakers included the German State Secretary for the Interior Cornelia Rogall-Grothe and the Federal Data Protection Commissioner Peter Schaar, alongside international authors and bloggers Cory Doctorow and Jeff Jarvis who appeared via live video chat from the U.S.

The debate was always lively, sometimes polarised—Cory likened amalgamated data to nuclear waste while Jeff appealed to governments not to regulate for the worst case—but all seemed to agree that it was a worthwhile and timely exercise to explore these important issues.

You can watch the highlights soon on our Big Tent YouTube channel, and stay tuned for more Big Tents on a range of topics around the world in the coming months.

Transparency Report What it takes for governments to access personal information

Today we’re releasing new data for the Transparency Report, showing that the steady increase in government requests for our users’ data continued in the second half of 2012, as usage of our services continued to grow. We’ve shared figures like this since 2010 because it’s important for people to understand how government actions affect them.

We’re always looking for ways to make the report even more informative. So for the first time we’re now including a breakdown of the kinds of legal process that government entities in the U.S. use when compelling communications and technology companies to hand over user data. From July through December 2012:
  • 68 percent of the requests Google received from government entities in the U.S. were through subpoenas. These are requests for user-identifying information, issued under the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (“ECPA”), and are the easiest to get because they typically don’t involve judges.
  • 22 percent were through ECPA search warrants. These are, generally speaking, orders issued by judges under ECPA, based on a demonstration of “probable cause” to believe that certain information related to a crime is presently in the place to be searched.
  • The remaining 10 percent were mostly court orders issued under ECPA by judges or other processes that are difficult to categorize.

User data requests of all kinds have increased by more than 70 percent since 2009, as you can see in our new visualizations of overall trends. In total, we received 21,389 requests for information about 33,634 users from July through December 2012.

We’ll keep looking for more ways to inform you about government requests and how we handle them. We hope more companies and governments themselves join us in this effort by releasing similar kinds of data.

One last thing: You may have noticed that the latest Transparency Report doesn’t include new data on content removals. That’s because we’ve decided to release those numbers separately going forward. Stay tuned for that data.

Google creates €60m Digital Publishing Innovation Fund to support transformative French digital publishing initiatives

Google has worked with news publishers around the globe for years to help them make the most of the web. Our search engine generates billions of clicks each month, and our advertising solutions (in which we have invested billions of dollars) help them make money from that traffic. And last year, we launched Google Play, which offers new opportunities for publishers to make money—including through paid subscriptions. A healthy news industry is important for Google and our partners, and it is essential to a free society.

Today I announced with President Hollande of France two new initiatives to help stimulate innovation and increase revenues for French publishers. First, Google has agreed to create a €60 million Digital Publishing Innovation Fund to help support transformative digital publishing initiatives for French readers. Second, Google will deepen our partnership with French publishers to help increase their online revenues using our advertising technology.

This exciting announcement builds on the commitments we made in 2011 to increase our investment in France—including our Cultural Institute in Paris to help preserve amazing cultural treasures such as the Dead Sea Scrolls. These agreements show that through business and technology partnerships we can help stimulate digital innovation for the benefit of consumers, our partners and the wider web.
